The Holy Grail Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

Over the last few years I've seriously streamlined my beauty routine, transitioning from the heavy-handed makeup test bed of my teens to a more pared back vibe now I've hit my twenties.

With beauty I've found that less is definitely more, particularly if you've got young skin that tends to fare better when not bog down with layers of product. With beauty (as with most things) it also feels better to buy a few items well, than to buy lots of cheap products that don't actually do the job. These are my holy grail beauty buys that work like a charm  on oily/combination skin. Maybe they'll work for you, too.

Tan: Tan-Luxe The Face Illuminating Drops

I love a good tan all year round, and Tan-Luxe The Face is without a doubt the best way to get a glow without streaky mitts, messy sprays or foams that aren't really primed to go on your face. A few drops of this in your moisturiser in the morning or at night and you'll have the perfect natural glow, and can probably opt for lighter makeup as a result. I'd love to trial the body version, but it is quite expensive... Nevertheless, a total game changer and well worth the money!

Base: Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow

I'm not one for thick foundation as it clogs up my pores and causes break outs. Instead, I prefer to opt for light and buildable tinted moisturisers; and Charlotte Tilbury's Healthy Glow is a firm favourite. It's still a little on the heavy side, so I mix some of the product with my usual daily moisturiser as soon as I've washed my face for a lighter finish and seamless application. The product comes out white, but once applied blends to match your natural skin tone with a little added glow. It lasts all day and has a natural, healthy finish.

Brows: Anastasia DipBrow Pomade

Easy to apply and impossible to smudge, the Anastasia DipBrow is the most durable brow product I've ever used, making it an absolute winner if you're looking to give your brows that extra oomph. Despite enjoying beauty, I'm incredibly lazy and can never be bothered to reapply makeup throughout the day. So this is ideal if you want full brows that will last for hours, even through a sweaty hour at the gym.

Bronze: Nars Laguna

I'm a stickler for a bronzer and the cult Nars Laguna is my go-to. It has just the right amount of sparkle and is dark enough to look great both with and without the addition of fake tan. I've used this for years and am yet to find an alternative that's up to scratch.

Moisturiser: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

I switch up my moisturiser depending on how my face is feeling each day, but the Effaclar Duo is a constant. It doesn't do a great job at moisturising on its own (it's more of a serum) but it does an incredible job of keeping spots and redness at bay. As soon as I get a breakout I use this morning and night and it gets my skin back on track. If you suffer from the occasional spot or even full blown acne this is definitely worth a try; and it's often on offer in Boots, so keep an eye out and rack up those Advantage points!

Mask: Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask / Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Origins have got it covered when it comes to top quality, natural skincare that really works (for me, anyway). Their masks are the only ones I'll use, as lots of other brands seem to feature so many harsh ingredients I worry they'll do more harm than good! On bad skin days the 10 Minute Mask is a miracle worker, getting rid of spots within a day or two. For dry/dehydrated days (particularly on a hot holiday or after a night out) the Drink Up Intensive is the one, as it's incredibly nourishing and will leave your face feeling healthy, smooth and well and truly quenched. If you're using a thick face mask, squeeze a little onto the back of your hand then apply with a clean foundation brush for even application and less wastage!

Serum: UpCircle Organic Face Serum with Coffee Oil

This award-winning product is a real all rounder and entirely deserving of its critical acclaim! Not only does it do an incredible job of making your face feel silky smooth and super bright, but it's also completely sustainable and rich in antioxidants as it's made from repurposed coffee grounds. This little bottle of rejuvenating magic is quickly becoming one of my skincare staples, so if you haven't yet discovered UpCircle's innovative wonder-products, this is definitely a great place to start.

Lips: Glossier Balm Dotcom

There's nothing like Glossier's Balm Dotcom for sumptuously smooth lips that are more satin than high gloss. I'm obsessed with these balms, not only for the formula but also the cute little tubes. My favourite flavours are Rose (for a natural pink tint) and Mango (because it tastes bloody delicious).

Hair: Kerastase Nutritive Masque Magistral

If you're looking for a hair mask that a) smells delightful and b) will make even the driest of locks feel as smooth as silk then look no further than Kerastase. My hairdresser recommended this to me and it's truly magical. It lasts a while if you only use it when your hair is feeling particularly in need of some TLC and it's a total must-have for super healthy hair.
