Last Thursday, Sarah (click here to visit her blog) and I went to along to In Love with Fashion HQ in central London to take part in a lil' photoshoot, and I thought I'd show you the results! For more 'behind the scenes'-type photos, have a look at my Instagram @amymacee. I'm actually so happy with how the photos have turned out, and my favourite is probably the romantic black and white shot at the end. Can't remember what we were laughing at, but it was definitely a genuine laugh! Everything we're wearing is from Love (besides accessories), so head on over to their site if you fancy anything! Something I learnt on the day that I wasn't aware of before was that Love actually have an in house design team who design all of their pieces - it's not just ordered in from a wholesaler. For some reason, this makes me love everything so much more! My favourite piece from the day was probably the long grey sleeveless jacket, but the leopard print shirt was a winner too. It was such a fun afternoon, so thank you so much to Coco for inviting us down!

So, London Fashion Week. It feels like ages since I was there when it reality it was only three days ago! Life got in the way of regular attendance this season so unfortunately I was only able to soak up the atmosphere (and the rain) on the cobbled courtyard of Somerset House for one wet and windy day, but what a day it was! 
It all began at 9:30am in THE SAVOY (yes, I actually went to The Savoy) with New Look. The amazing amazing Rhian invited myself and nine other bloggers to breakfast in the hotel, where we were treated to copious amounts of tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, and delicious food. I went for salmon royale because one of my life mantras is never to turn down the opportunity to eat smoked salmon. Like never. I left The Savoy suitably stuffed, having made some new friends in Amy, Naomi and Charnelle, and headed over to Somerset House.
It wasn't long before I had my first show in Freemason's Hall, which was Jamie Wei Huang. She was showing her AW14 Ready-to-Wear collection, and a number of the pieces were right up my street. There were lots of chunky knits, high-necklines and oversized jackets, all in muted pastels or minimalist monochrome with bright accents and asymmetric leather details. My favourite piece was definitely a pastel pink checked jacket with a leather strap on the back, closely followed by an all white biker jacket with a red fur collar and red accents. Sooooo amazing. I didn't manage to get any decent photos, so if you'd like a closer look at the collection then just click here!
After the show I headed into Pret for a quick coffee only to bump into Chelsea of Chelsea Jade Loves, and we spent the rest of the day hanging out with Leigh and Toni. The Napsugar presentation was our first port of call, closely followed by Fashion Scout's 'Ones to Watch' show. It was a riot of colour, embellishment, texture and print, as the four designers showcased four very contrasting collections. You can see a few snapshots from the show above!
So that's pretty much it on the Fashion Week front from me this season! I'm really hoping that next year I'll be able to go to shows on at least two of the days, and maybe do some street-style photography on a third. Thank you to Motel for sending me this gorgeous white faux leather skirt to wear, and thank you to New Look for the amazing breakfast at The Savoy. Here's to next season!

Yep I'm one of those bloggers that has that faux-Acne jumper, but I also have no shame. I really don't think there is anything wrong with a good old bargainous designer copy. I mean, why break the bank getting hold of the real deal when this Sheinside number is a mere £13? Sometimes cutting corners is just necessary. It's the perfect piece to throw on for cosiness and style in equal measures; I know this is a very simple outfit, but sometimes comfort and simplicity is all you need! Nike Roshe's and comfort are synonymous in my opinion, so of course they made the cut. I really want them in black now, too!

For today's post I've donned this gorgeous pink skirt as part of Missguided's #sharethelove campaign! They sent me a lovely package with this beautiful skirt, some Thornton's Valentine's-themed chocolates and some Rimmel beauty goodies; all in line with the pink/red colour scheme synonymous with Valentine's Day. You can see a photo of the package and its contents on my Twitter! The skirt is fab, I love the organza detailing around the bottom, and the pastel pink shade is of course bang on trend for S/S. If you need more persuading as to why you should all get one, it's only £14.99! Speaking of trends, I spent yesterday well and truly immersed in the whirlwind that is London Fashion Week. Unfortunately I could only make it down to Somerset House for one of the days this season due to work, but I had a lovely time and took so many photos which I'll hopefully share with you in tomorrow's post (once I've had a chance to sift through them all)! Hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday, singletons included (holla), and that you have an even better weekend!

all hail the Adidas Stan Smith's

I've always been into trainers, ever since I saved up for weeks in order to purchase my first pair of hot pink Converse when I was about 10. My love affair has only grown since then, however at the moment I can only boast of a relatively modest trainer collection; with the only pairs that I ever really wear being my Nike Roshe Run's and my New Balance 574's, with my battered Vans only rearing their head when I know it's going to be a messy night with the possibility of excessive drink spillage. Every now and again I'll find myself getting really excited about a pair of trainers, and this is exactly the case with the relaunch of Adidas' classic Stan Smith's after a two year hiatus, especially if wearing them means that I'll get abs like Gisele. I'm pretty sure I had a pair similar to this, if not the real deal, in my pre-pink Converse days, and to say I'm chuffed that they're back on the scene would be an understatement. They're so classic, so effortless, so white, and so versatile; I'm envisioning light-wash denim, a white tee & a golden tan (c/o St Moriz, of course), or a plain black shift dress layered over a white shirt, all topped off with a glowing white pair of Adidas' finest, preferably with a green heel tab. Everything in trainer-land has been getting pretty hi-tech lately - I'm talking Le Coq Sportif and New Balance territory. So the Stan Smith's are an old school breath of fresh air, and if they're good enough for the likes of Phoebe Philo, Marc Jacobs, a naked Gisele and the powers that be at French Vogue, then they are certainly good enough for me.
