my current 'to buy' list

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Just a quick post to share some of the bits and bobs with you that I've currently got my eye on. The February Spending Ban is still going strong and I haven't caved yet (although I did have to buy a new powder and foundation because mine ran out but that was an emergency!), so I can't wait to have a good ol' shop in March - only one day left!
The Motel Dress has been on my wishlist for months so I seriously need to stop putting it off and just get it - the same goes for the silver Casio. I also can't wait to get the ASOS espadrille-flatform hybrids, which I can already tell are going to be my go-to footwear item this spring/summer. I'm really not one for sandals so I always find summery footwear such a tricky one! I can never find anything I really like!
What do you think of the pieces I'm currently coveting? What's at the top of your wishlist at the moment?

laser-cut leather & 90's jeans

CROP TOP - YAYER* // JEANS - YAYER* // DR MARTENS - CLOGGS // JACKET - VINTAGE // BELT - DOROTHY PERKINS // WATCH - CASIO (via AMAZON)
I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of 90's boyfriend jeans for a while now, so when I spotted these I knew I just had to have them! They're from Yayer, which is one of my absolute favourite places to shop online. Pretty much every single item on their site is right up my street, and I seriously cannot recommend them enough! They've recently revamped the site, and have lots of hot new pieces as well as a gorgeous selection of vintage gems; click here to have a browse. Yayer kindly offered to send me the Heather 550 jeans along with a top of my choosing to style them with for a post. I went for this laser-cut cropped tee because I thought it was a bit different, and I don't have anything like it in my wardrobe already! I can't wait to try and style both these pieces in slightly different ways.
What do you think of the ensemble? Are you a fan of Yayer?

JACKET - BEYOND RETRO/JUMPER - MANGO (via ASOS)/BLOUSE - GLAMOROUS/JEANS - TOPSHOP/BOOTS - OASAP*
Some of you may have noticed my small absence this week (or maybe not!). I spent a few days in Salamanca (a city in Spain) with my school, and had such a great time. It was really nice to have a break from the internet and my blog, but now it's back to school and work and normal life! I took these photos before I went, to show off my new Oasap boots. They're really comfy and  I love the way they look with jeans. I'm also wearing this Mango fisherman-knit jumper that was on sale on ASOS a little while back - the colour is divine and is the perfect match for my Beyond Retro jacket!
What do you think of this ensemble?

BOOTS - OASAP*
I received these in the post last week from Oasap - they're truly amazing. Expect to see a post ft these bad boys coming your way shortly!
What do you think of the latest addition to my shoe collection?

the eighties called and they want their shoes back

DISCO PANTS - AMERICAN APPAREL/JACKET - VINTAGE/CROP TOP - ASOS/NECKLACE - TOPSHOP/PLATFORM TRAINERS - MAXSTAR*/WATCH - CASIO (via AMAZON)
Quite a simple, casual outfit today - this is what I was thinking of wearing to go out tonight but I think I've changed my mind already! I'm being so indecisive, as usual! I really like the way the disco pants look with my Max Stars - the two together make me feel like such an 1880's throwback (hence the super duper witty title...). I'm also a huge fan of the whole polo-neck thing that's everywhere at the moment; high necklines are so much more flattering on me!

Also, I really want to buy some new boots next month but I'm SO TORN between the Topshop Adonis2's and the Assure's - help?

I hope you all have a lovely weekend - I'm so ready for it!

peachy

BLOUSE - AMERICAN APPAREL // JEANS - TOPSHOP // FLATFORMS - RIVER ISLAND // RUCKSACK - EBAY // NECKLACE - H&M // WATCH - CASIO (via AMAZON)
A very casual one today! As you know, I'm stuck in a bit of a jeans rut, but maybe I'll get over it soon! The only thing I've really got to report today is that I've recently come across an AMAZING website called Next2Nowt thanks to Shore & Shope - the lovely ladies behind London's Closet. The site sells hundreds of discounted pieces from 'famous names' ie. Topshop with the label cut out! If you fancy a bargain, make sure you have a browse; their selection of bags and shoes is to die for, and they stock loads of 'cult' styles that are sold out elsewhere. It's seriously a treasure trove!

What do you think of today's outfit? Will you be having a browse of Next2Nowt?

LBD

DRESS - MONKI // JACKET - BEYOND RETRO // JEFFREY CAMPBELL'S - SOLE // NECKLACE - TOPSHOP // WATCH - CASIO (via AMAZON)
Post number 2 feat. the Litas! This time I've teamed them with an LBD that I bought in Monki on Carnaby Street - anybody who hasn't shopped in there before seriously has to. The interior decoration is so nice; even if you don't want to buy anything, it's worth popping in simply to soak up the atmosphere! Monki is fast becoming one of my favourite shops as everything is just so reasonable; it's the perfect place to go if you're looking to buy some more minimal basics that are still high quality despite the great price. The dress is taking the term LBD quite literally (it's very short, and this is a medium!) but I love it nonetheless - it's such a timeless and versatile piece, and is my first venture into the wonderful world of shift dresses!
The blazer was also a recent purchase, this time from vintage goldmine Beyond Retro. I don't buy a lot of vintage clothing, but when I'm in the right mood I just find vintage shops so much more fun than normal ones! There's something about rummaging through a load of old crap and finding a piece that you really love, that makes the whole experience all the more satisfying!

Also, I've popped a few things on Ebay and they all end in approximately one hour, so click here and get bidding quick if you fancy a bargain!

the february spending ban & the lita debut

COAT - TOPSHOP/JUMPER - ASOS/SHIRT - ASOS/JEANS - TOPSHOP/RING - DOROTHY PERKINS/SUNGLASSES - EBAY/NECKLACE - TOPSHOP/JEFFREY CAMPBELLS - SOLE
It recently came to my attention that I hadn't yet worn my beloved Jeffrey Campbell's in a post, so I thought I'd pop them on to make a nice change from the usual creeper/Dr Marten-related ensembles that I post on here! I really like the way they look with jeans - I've seriously been wearing jeans 24/7, but I promise I'll wear something different soon! P.S say hello to my new favourite jumper which is currently on sale on ASOS - so big and cosy and warm!

On a slightly different note; as those of you who follow me on Twitter will already know, I've undertaken the momentous task of doing a February Spending Ban this month, starting today. This means that I won't be spending any money on unnecessary clothing/beauty items throughout the entire month, in a desperate bid to save some much needed money! I bought quite a few new things throughout January, and really don't need any more clothes or makeup, so am going to be refraining from purchasing anything (apart from the ABSOLUTE essentials, eg. if I run out of dry shampoo I'll have to buy a new one, as I'm sure you'll all understand), for the duration of the month. Logic told me that Feb would be the best month to do it, seeing as it's the shortest one! Some of you have already declared that you will be joining me on the Spending Ban journey (Lou has already written a similar post to mine here!), so I've feebly tried to get started a lil' #februaryspendingban hashtag (haha who do I think I am?) so that we can all keep each other company and help each other keep faith, even when those Topshop boots go into sale. If you want to join in, get on Twitter, get saving, and good luck!
