i'm conscripting

JACKET - ARMY SURPLUS/JEANS - TOPSHOP/TSHIRT - TOPSHOP/CREEPERS - OFFICE/WATCH - CASIO (VIA AMAZON)
Army jackets are, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most popular and possibly over worn pieces that are new to the scene this season. Having said that, I have lovingly worn mine since the start of the summer when I wore it to R1's Hackney Weekend (see here), and will continue to do so as we really get into winter. My jacket formerly belonged to my brother, and as he was an army cadet he got it from an Army Surplus store - I'm sure a quick google will let you know where your nearest one of these is! I love the authenticity of the camo version, however am equally enamoured by the high street's offerings; in particular the infamous khaki-and-pleather sleeved variety found in Topshop, River Island, or on Ebay (you all know the ones I mean).

As for the jumping shots, well, who knows why I did that? It was amusing at the time.

How are you wearing your army jacket this season?

new addition: leather & studs

FAUX LEATHER JACKET - OASAP*
Here's a lil' sneak preview of the lovely 'leather' jacket I received from Oasap last week; I don't know why I didn't already have a leather jacket - I know it's one of those essential staples that everyone needs to own - but anyway at least now I do! I adore the stud detailing on the front, and can't wait to get plenty of wear out of this beauty throughout winter.

An outfit post featuring it will be coming your way soon; do you like it, or are you more of a denim girl?

TOP - H&M/RIDING PANTS - AMERICAN APPAREL/JACKET - VINTAGE/BAG - PRIMARK/NECKLACE - MISS SELFRIDGE/WATCH - CASIO (VIA AMAZON)/CREEPERS - OFFICE
I wore this little ensemble to sixth form the other day. I can just about get away with wearing riding pants to sixth form, as they're really just glorified leggings but can look quite smart and trouser-like if worn correctly! I'm glad I can wear them as they're so comfortable and flattering; I'm seriously considering getting them in another colour too, maybe taupe
Haven't got a lot more to say today really, other than that my NUS Student Card arrived the other day so I can now look forward to getting a student discount, wahey!

Happy Weekend!

new additions: asos 'abbi' boots

ASOS 'ABBI' CHELSEA BOOTS
I'm very late to hop onto this particular blogger bandwagon, but I've finally acquired a pair of black heeled chelsea boots, hurrah! Last winter I dreamt of a pair of the famous Topshop Allegra's just like every other girl on the continent; a dream that never faded. Whilst having my daily browse of ASOS recently I came across these beauties that were reduced from £38 to £32; that was the only excuse I needed to add them to my basket. They arrived yesterday, and they are the comfiest heels I have ever put on my feet. Despite not being much of a Heels Girl, I am certain that I'm going to get plenty of wear out of these beauties this a/w! As soon as I pulled them on I felt sophisticated and at least twice my own age which can only be a good thing! Get ready to be inundated with posts ft me trying to be feminine, and the latest addition to my ever-growing shoe collection.

P.S Thank you to everyone on Twitter who persuaded me to get these; I owe you.

DENIM JACKET - VINTAGE/BLOUSE - CHARITY SHOP/SKIRT - H&M/BELT - PRIMARK/CREEPERS - OFFICE/WATCH - CASIO (VIA AMAZON)
Another outfit featuring a couple of 'thrifted' items! I absolutely adore this blouse - it's easily one of my favourite charity shop purchases to date, and I have so many ideas of how to wear it I'm going to have to refrain from featuring it on here every week! Velvet is one of my favourite fabrics for A/W. It looks luxurious, feels luxurious, and makes an outfit look that little bit more exciting. It's also nice to mix different textures - this blouse would look great under a knitted jumper with the denim jacket layered on top.

I wore this outfit yesterday for an extremely hectic, shattering but incredibly fun day with fellow blogger Kavita (check out her blog here; love her) working on something exciting (although you can hardly call it working - we walked around, chatted and giggled all day); I'll fill you in on more details soon, I just don't want to say too much yet in case I'm not allowed! So watch this space for more of me and Kavita!

That's all for now - more soon!

SHIRT - CHARITY SHOP/SKIRT - RIVER ISLAND (VIA ASOS)/BELT - NEW LOOK/WATCH - CASIO (VIA AMAZON)/SOCKS - NEW LOOK/BOOTS - LINZI SHOES*
This is the full outfit from this post (where you just saw the shoes). As I made pretty clear in the post, I am absolutely enamoured by these shoes and don't want to take them off of my feet!
I actually wore this to sixth form one day - it's slightly more formal than my normal style but I like the ensemble nonetheless. The shirt was a bargainous charity shop find which I think cost £4.50; I also got a bag, two blazers and an exciting velvet shirt on the same day which I think all came in under £30. You gotta love a bit of thrifting!

This is just a short post, but there should be more on the way - Happy Thursday!

black lace

DRESS - GLAMOROUS*/DR MARTENS - Cloggs
Today I'm wearing another lovely dress kindly sent to me by Glamorous - I'm sure you've all heard of them by now as their profile on blogs and other social media is definitely growing, but if you haven't make sure you have a browse of the site and read my last post featuring one of their garments!
This dress is a size 8 and is unfortunately a little on the short side (if you're a tall girl like me and order one, try the size up for a longer length!), but I still couldn't resist showing it to you as I absolutely adore it. The long sleeves and high neck keep it classy, and the skater shape is so flattering. The lace/knit/crochet top is stretchy and comfortable to wear, and I just think the whole dress is gorgeous and you all need one for your winter party wardrobe! I've dressed it down slightly here with my Docs as I'm not really a heels girl (despite owning 10000000000 pairs), however it would look so good with a pair of bright wedges (like these).

What do you think of the latest addition to my dress collection?
