first timer

TOP - ROOM 31*/SHORTS - NEW LOOK/BELT - TOPSHOP/NECKLACE - TOPSHOP/CREEPERS - OFFICE
After the sudden realization in this post that I had never before worn sunglasses on my blog, I thought I would throw on a pair today even though it wasn't remarkably sunny! These are just a rip-off pair of Ray-Bans from Cyprus, but I've definitely got my eye on this beautiful pair from Icon Eyewear that I featured in my post
I'm wearing this crochet top again (previously worn here) that was kindly sent to me by Room 31. I've been wearing white/cream tops a lot lately, and whenever I wear this I get so many compliments I just don't see a reason to take it off! It really is beautiful and looks so expensive; I just cannot get enough.

I hope you're all enjoying the sporadic UK sunshine - are any of you heading off anywhere exotic this summer?

snaps from belgium

WATCHING THE SUN SET/SNAPPING AWAY IN GHENT/MORE SUNSET/MY FRIEND AND I ON THE BEACH
Some of you may know that I spent the last few days in Belgium. The weather was beautiful and we had a brilliant time (although I somehow managed to make it through the whole week without eating some Belgian chocolate..) and I thought I would share with you a few photos that I took on the trip! There aren't many, but the rest were just of me and my friends which probably wouldn't make for very interesting viewing! As you can tell I did quite enjoy taking photos of the sunset over the sea in the evenings, but it was so beautiful I just couldn't resist. Have any of you ever been to Belgium? Do you fancy it?

double crossed

T SHIRT - SOLILOR*/JEANS - MISS SELFRIDGE/NECKLACES - HM/BRACELET - TOPSHOP/CONVERSE - OFFICE
A very casual outfit from me here, but I just had to show you my new favourite jeans and t-shirt! The t-shirt was very kindly sent to me by Solilor - they're a China based company but do ship to the UK and have fast delivery! Definitely check them out, they have some great pieces! The t-shirt is extremely oversized, and is so unbelievably soft and comfortable to wear - I've barely taken it off since it arrived.
The jeans were a recent purchase from Miss Selfridge. I had been lusting after the infamous American Apparel Easy Jeans for months and came so close to buying them a few weeks ago before going for the Riding Pants instead. When I saw these high waisted super soft skinny jeans in Miss Selfridge I was so excited -  they're so similar to the Easy Jean in that they're very high waisted, and they also come in other washes. They're not quite as skin tight as the AA version but if, like me, you're looking for a cheaper alternative then it's definitely worth looking in Miss Selfridge. They unfortunately only come in a leg length of 32" which is long, but I quite like wearing my jeans rolled up at the ankle anyway so this suits me just fine!

I'm going away to Belgium this Saturday for a few days so sorry if things go a little quiet on the blogging front! I may schedule one or two posts for over the weekend and next week but I'm going out in a bit and then have work tomorrow, so may not get much time for writing posts! I hope you're all enjoying your summer, and see you when I get back!

DRESS - GLAMOROUS*/DENIM JACKET - VINTAGE AND DIY/BAG - TOPSHOP/CREEPERS - OFFICE

A little while ago Glamorous kindly sent me this pretty floral dress. It's taken me quite some time to get around to wearing it due to the horrible UK weather, but today despite a lack of sunshine it's considerably warmer than it has been, so out it came! I don't tend to go for florals as I'm not a very girly dresser, but I chose this little number as I thought it would be perfect for the 'summer' (I use that word lightly). The fabric hangs really nicely and is extremely flattering - I also love the cut out panels on the side which add a bit of interest to the dress. All in all I'm extremely impressed with Glamorous and strongly recommend that you all check them out; you can get 20% off of your order by entering GLAMOROUS20 at the checkout. Their prices are extremely affordable and they sell some brilliant disco pant lookalikes - a recipe for success if you ask me!

What do you think of the dress? Have you ever ordered from Glamorous

ebay lashes

NAME OF STYLES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: 018, 022, Y-8
FAKE EYELASHES - EBAY
I never used to be that into fake eyelashes - it's only recently that I've started purchasing and trying out different lashes and brands. I used to go for Ardell or Eyelure however after hearing people talk about ordering cheap sets from Ebay I just thought, why not?
I bought thirty pairs in total - ten pairs of each style - at 99p for ten pairs and free P&P from this seller. They are delivered from Hong Kong so take a long time to arrive, but apart from that the seller and the condition of the eyelashes when they came was absolutely fine.
The eyelashes themselves are not bad for the price you pay. I tend to use my Eyelure glue with them and they stay on fine however sometimes need a bit of a touch up of glue on the inner corner during the night. The band on which you put the glue isn't particularly flimsy which can be annoying when you're trying to fit them to your eye!
My overall impression is that if you're a beginner or aren't sure what styles of lashes are going to suit you, buying some cheap eyelashes such as these to practice with and try out is perfect. If I had a special occasion to go to I may buy some more expensive lashes as they are higher quality, however I only wear them occasionally when I go out and have no qualms with chucking these Ebay ones away after one wear as they're so cheap!

Would you try some Ebay eyelashes? What sellers or brands do you recommend?

new additions: jewellery

CROSS NECKLACE (£3.50), SPIKED CUFF (£2.50) AND TRIANGLE EARRINGS (£3.75) - TOPSHOP SALE/SPIKE EARRINGS (£3.15) - FOREVER 21
I've done a spot of shopping this past week up on Oxford Street and other places, so thought I would show you some of my jewellery purchases! Three of the pieces are from the Freedom at Topshop sale for which I just cannot express my love enough. I always manage to find something that I need and the discounts are always so good! I find that Topshop jewellery can be overpriced but the sale brings the prices right down so that it's not so painful to part with the cash! The spike earrings from Forever 21 weren't on sale but were so nice I just had to have them. They were a bit of a rare find, as I used to love Forever 21's jewellery but recently it's all just a little to sparkly and glitzy for my liking!

Have you found any sale bargains, jewellery or otherwise?

TOP - ROOM 31*/RIDING PANTS - AMERICAN APPAREL/SATCHEL - PRIMARK/CREEPERS - OFFICE/NECKLACE - TOPSHOP
How cute is this little crochet top? It was kindly sent to me by Room 31 and is by Vero Moda - I've worn it so much since receiving it! It's of a really high quality and is so easy to wear and to throw on with jeans or shorts. I'm also wearing my beloved Primark satchel here which I constantly use. I do have my sights set on a real Cambridge Satchel Co satchel but with those prices I think this one will have to do for now!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already! It ends on Sunday 8th July.

Happy Thursday!

in the nude

SKIRT - OASAP*/TOP - PRIMARK/RING - DOROTHY PERKINS/NECKLACE - CHELSEA DOLL*/BOOTS - CHOCKERS SHOES
I think this is probably the dressiest outfit I have ever posted on my blog! Most of my outfits are true reflections of what I wear day to day and are therefore far more casual, but today I just thought I would put on some heels and show you the kind of thing I would wear to a dressier occasion! What ever happened to getting dressed up for no apparent reason?
I'm sure you've all seen Oasap popping up on various blogs recently, due to their Fashion Hunter programme. They sent me this gorgeous nude chiffon skirt. It's very high waisted and hangs beautifully, and can be dressed up or down (I also love the way it looks with creepers). The skirt is only about £15 which is so reasonable, and comes in other colours too. I have my eye on the black version!
If you do fancy making an order from Oasap, you can 25% off of your order using the code '04/07-IND-DAY' until the 15th July so make sure you get in there quick!

Lastly, don't forget to enter my giveaway which launched yesterday, where you could win £40 worth of vintage accessories from The Vintage Set (click here to enter).
