Outfit number two featuring the Topshop Joni's that are causing quite a stir in the blogging world - this time in black! I won't rave about them again because I already did that in this post, but I will say that the hype is 100% deserved, and that never again will I lament the fact that I can't afford the AA Easy Jeans!

I haven't really got much to say today, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I do have one question though for the techno-heads among you - which DSLRs would you recommend for a beginner? I've been looking at Nikon and Canon, but there are so many to choose from and I'm in way out of my depth! Help/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

new additions

Here are a few photos that I took of some of my recent purchases - the Jeffrey Campbell's were technically a Christmas present, but I haven't shown you them yet so thought I'd pop them in this post! I bought the Topshop 'Joni' jeans that everyone and their mother has been raving about in black this week, because I loved the light wash ones so much and have been wearing them 24/7 (worn in this post) - more and more washes are gradually being added to the range, so check online to see if the colour you want is available yet! Also, if any of you are interested in buying the famous La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, you can currently buy two La Roche Posay products for £15 from Boots, which is such a good deal seeing as the Effaclar Duo on its own is £13! It's worked wonders on my skin, so I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you were considering it, but order quick because it goes out of stock so quickly in store and online!

Went for a slight change of scenery today! We don't get snow very often, so I thought the least I could do was utilize it in a few photos! I'm wearing my camo jacket, my new favourite jumper from Topshop, and the ultimate snow boots that are my DM's. I would definitely recommend checking out Cloggs if you're looking for branded footwear, because more often than not they have  big discounts on brands, and they're really reliable - I've bought from them on numerous occasions!

retro eyewear

I know there's still snow on the ground, but that doesn't stop me from eyeing up some of the key pieces that I plan on snapping up when summer finally rolls around. I do love a nice pair of sunglasses despite the fact that I rarely wear them in posts, and although I usually go for the classic wayfarer, I'm considering branching out this year and getting a pair with a little more vintage charm. Retro sunglasses always look so sleek and sophisticated, and I'd like to think that I'd be channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn with a classic pair of cat-eyes, although that's debatable! The monochrome ones are especially great, and would be so easy to wear - I can't stop wearing black and white at the moment!

I've selected 10 pairs of sunnies with a slightly retro feel about them, that really caught my eye (ha). Most of them are designer and therefore (more than) slightly out of my price range, but I have a few months to save so you never know, some of those cat-eyes by Chloe could be mine! (highly unlikely). The designer pairs are from Focus Online - a site which stocks a whole host of designer eye wear brands for both men and women - and there are a couple of ASOS and Urban Outfitters offerings in there as well. My favourites are number two, number six and number eight. What are yours?

let it snow

Say hello to my new favourite style of jeans - the Topshop Joni's. They are basically American Apparel Easy Jeans but at half the price, and when I spotted them in the Oxford Street store a few weeks ago I had to suppress a squeal of happiness! I've worn them endlessly since I bought them, and have ordered a black pair which are currently on their way to me! They're so soft and comfortable and are an uber flattering fit, although do come up quite short - I usually wear a L32 with the Leigh's, but need a L34 with these ones. If you fancy the Easy Jeans but can't afford them (like me), then one hundred percent give these a try! I've also rediscovered my Docs, which are perfect for the snow. I don't know why I didn't wear them more often before!

my current 'to buy' list

I'm one of these people that makes lists for just about everything, and my 'to buy' list is one that is constantly being added to! I'm not a big impulse buyer, so things tend to sit on the list for a while, and if after a few weeks I still want it as much as I did when I put it on the list, it means that it wasn't a whim and it's acceptable to buy it. There's nothing I hate more than wasting money, or buying something only to wear it once or twice! 
These are all the bits and bobs currently on The List. The DM's are right at the very top (can't believe I found such a cheap site!), and the Topshop skirt and Kurt Geiger boots are very close seconds. I'm seriously struggling so hard to refrain from buying the boots. They've only got my size left, and they're reduced from £170 to £39 - if that's not meant to be then I don't know what is! But I did just get some JC Lita's in December, and I haven't worn them enough yet to justify a new pair of platforms, so I'm going to have to continue to refrain myself for the time being!

HELLO EVERYONE. It's been ages since I wrote a blog post (so much school work, boo) but today I was feeling motivated so here I am once again. A pretty plain and simple outfit really that I took photos of ages ago - just my favourite Topshop dress and some cheap Ebay jewellery!
A little while ago I was kindly sent these wayfarer-style sunglasses from Firmoo. They sell hundreds of styles of prescription and non-prescription glasses, and even have a fantastic First Pair Free Program so that you can try a pair out and only pay shipping. I'm really impressed with the speedy delivery and high quality of the glasses they sent me. They came in a nice little pouch with a hard case and lense cleaning cloth to keep them protected (I'm a classic sunglasses crusher when I'm on holiday - I always sit on them!). The only slight downside to them is that the frames aren't quite wide enough for my head, but it isn't that noticeable when I've got them on.
I'm not a huge sunglasses wearer, but I'm so pleased that I tried out Firmoo as they really do offer a great service - I'd really recommend that you give them a try if you're on the hunt for a pair of glasses!

ebay wishlist

I literally made this wishlist about a month ago, but thought I would post it anyway because I still want most of the things on here! (I've already bought the bracelets, the John Lennon-esque glasses and the nail varnish)! The only things I would probably add if could I be bothered to make the collage again (my laziness knows no bounds) is this necklace, this jumper and these eyelashes (number 018) because I'm almost out (read this post for a little 'ebay lash' review). 
I've been getting really into Ebay lately, and think it's so worth spending a bit of time hunting for good sellers and good items because you can save yourself so much money - I swear the spike bracelets are no different to Topshop's ones! 
Also, I'm currently selling a brand new pair of wedges, some once-worn Ugg boots and some worker boots (all size 7) on Ebay all of which end today, so if you fancy the sound of any of them head on over to my Dad's Ebay page! *shameless plug alert*

american peach

I wore this little ensemble to my Grandad's birthday lunch yesterday! It was an action packed day that had me running from John Lewis to my grandparents' house to Convent Garden to home and finally to my friend's! I went to Convent Garden because, as the tweeters among you may have gathered, I ordered a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas from Secret Sales for £65 (BARGAIN) but they messed up my order so the shoes didn't arrive in time for Christmas or New Years Eve which I was gutted about! Anyways I cancelled the order yesterday morning and caught wind of JC's being sold in Sole for a similar price, so I called up the store and as luck would have it there was one pair left in my size (it was clearly meant to be). I hastily reserved them, whizzed up there last night and finally got my hands on my Jeffrey Campbell's! They're so comfy and I'm planning on christening them later at my friend's party - I may even try and photograph the outfit for y'all just so you can share my excitement. 
So that's my little story regarding the JC fiasco - make sure you check out Sole because they have so many pairs of JC's that are heavily reduced! 

I forgot to say Happy New Year to you all so... HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm so happy with how 2012 went, and I hope 2013 is even better!

current beauty favourite: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I don't tend to blog about beauty (mainly due to my lack of expertise), but on this occasion I felt the need to share with you my love for one particular product; the Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stains. They come in a great array of colours, are incredibly easy to apply, and somehow both moisturize and stain the lips meaning that the colour fades evenly and without that annoying line around the outside that you tend to get with normal lipsticks! I bought the pink and coral shades in the summer, and have been wearing 005 (a gorgeous dark, plum shade) constantly this winter. I literally cannot recommend these products enough - seriously, all go and try them they're fab (and to persuade you further, they're currently only a fiver at Boots so you save £2.99)! If you like a good 'drugstore dupe', apparently these are similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, although I haven't tried those myself so can't really comment!
